I haven't written anything in three days. Part of this is because I've been working. The other part is because I'm overwhelmed by all the things I need to do between now and September 11th. I've gotten stuck in that rut where I do nothing because I'm doing everything. Alex warned me today, before heading off to his bachelor party, "Don't stop moving." He said that as I told him I was going to take a day off. But we know how that ends. Tomorrow becomes a day off. Monday also becomes a day off. By the time Tuesday rolls around, what's really the point because you're so behind? So I will need to make goals for myself tonight. Alex is 250 miles away at his bachelor party. Kate is eating at her parents' house. Brothers are at work. Parents are at Sturgis. This leaves me in the apartment, with the two oldest debates known to writers: 1. What to work on first? 2. Should I order that pizza? The first question: I don't know, probably my big manuscript and maybe get some reading in as well. I'm gonna probably cuddle up with Les Miserables for my third semester project. I need to find copies of Matilda and Mary Poppins for cheap. The second question: It will all depend on how expensive Matilda and Mary Poppins are. |
