Today was both an unproductive day and a productive day. We actually worked out, and that was cool. But a lot of today was used up by watching Orange is the New Black and laughing way too much at Crazy Eyes' writing escapades. I'm a little concerned. I realize summer is in full swing, finances have gotten figured out, and it's been like two weeks. I've gotten a lot done with the book, and now that I'm out of the hard scene, it's all sort of flowing. I did get another few pages written today, which was awesome, but I was just thinking: what else am I doing? How am I getting involved online? How is my Twitter doing? What sort of short stories am I writing in the meantime? I'm a writer who wants to do this and now has the time to do this, but I'm still a student. I'm still learning. I think we all feel this way sometimes, though. We feel like we're not doing enough. I have a whole week off with a wedding to go to, but that's it. So I can write on the road, I can ask questions of my mentor, and I can come up with a more solid plan. I want to do more than just write every day. Only a few weeks to Ireland residency. |
