Day Seven and Eight: I Still Wrote, I Just Fell Asleep.

So I woke up this morning and thought to myself, "Huh. I didn't write a blog yesterday, which is unfortunate, since I wrote so much."

I wrote so. Much.

I'm not even being sarcastic. I really did. And then I celebrated by going to Buffalo Wild Wings and getting hella sick. B-dubs has never settled well with me, and I forgot, and it's my folly. So today was full of workshops and being ill to my stomach and having a headache. I did not feel well today. But yesterday I was a fireball, a firework ... I was on fire.

I just forgot to blog about it.

"Seven days in, really?" I thought to myself, and then I realized that's the most important part of this experiment: to keep going even when it doesn't look great or doesn't go perfectly.

So here is my blog ... yes without a picture ... for Days Seven and Eight.

Yesterday, I had three packets due for Stonecoast. One to my mentor, the other two to my Ireland workshop. Holy God in Heaven, thank the lord and baby Jesus that Alex stayed up with me the night before to finish most of the preliminary edits, because I didn't have enough time the next day. While I turned it in, I realized that I'd missed an important component to my protagonist's psyche ... and it was too late to change it.

My heroine just got her life threatened and she's quite glib about it.

Don't you hate it when that happens? When you turn something in. You're like, "Yes. That's amazing." And then you're like ... shit.

The afternoon was full of meetings for the wedding. Bachelorette Party/Wedding. My MOH's are the best. Absolute best. Then Kate came over and we wrote and wrote and wrote.

Today, I had some work I needed to do, and then I had to come back and edit Kate's stuff. I didn't get a lot of my own writing done, but I am going to write at least a damn sentence before going to bed.

Hopefully I'll feel better tomorrow and have less moments of "I have to crawl into bed or I will puke everywhere." Thanks, B-Dubs. Keep it real.

Dawson is a writer. This is her blog. In it, you shall read about reading. And writing. And cheeseburgers. Sometimes there are tangents. Huzzah.
