Today, I did anything but write. I'm writing this. I wrote a small diddy before this. That's it. I took the day off. Now if you're a writer, you know that's impossible, and things were boiling and whirling all day in my head, but I refused to write on my WIP. I listened to music, I worked out possible scenarios and solutions in my head, but I needed one day to just go outside. So instead of going back home after carpooling this morning, I went to Fremont. Then I went to Arlington. Then I went to Blair. I took pictures of bears and texted them to my husband in a HONY-spoof (Bears of Goodwill). I bought a shirt. I ate a Cinnabon. I took a walk around a lake. And then I came home to see that our wedding pictures have arrived (see: the picture). I then ate mashed potatoes with popcorn shrimp and watched Disney short films. I am probably going to not work out tonight. Tomorrow will not be a day off. But after two weeks of constant 12-15 hour workdays, it was time to go outside. Now for some BOGW (Bears of Goodwill): |
