On days that will define the rest of our lives, there seems to be something in the air when we wake up. We may not understand why today feels highlighted, even after we know why it's highlighted, but there's something worth noting on a morning that leads to a date in history.
I was woke up by Kate telling me to get to writing session as soon as possible. She also texted that everyone could get married. I was so very happy about this. I was crying. I was posting like a crazy person. I was all pent up with all of the things I was thinking and feeling and had nowhere to put it. But I was there at the coffee shop, playing James Horner, and I wrote a scene about love and hope between my two characters. After getting out of the writing session, I took my new Prius and just kept driving west. I drove straight out of town, got lost on empty country roads, and looked at the gorgeous everything around me. I stopped the car at a stop sign. I took it all in. I haven't been this happy in a while. I'm glad I got to write a happy scene today.
