Dawson's story, "She'd Never Had a Name Before," released in Lightspeed in January. Since then, the virus has caused a lot of issues in this world. But the Nebula Conference went virtual and Dawson attended as a panelist.

ICFA 2018 - Dawson's ten-minute play, "The Things We Saved from the Rot," premiered at the ICFA Flash Play Festival, directed by Carrie J. Vaughan. Dawson also read from her new manuscript on Saturday, alongside A.T. Greenblatt and Kelly Robson.

A forthcoming sale will be announced soon.

Nebulas 2018 - Dawson will moderate the panel, "Making hopeful art in hopeless times." She also will be presenting on teaching writing with Cat Rambo and giving an ignite talk.

Readercon 2018 - Dawson will be at Readercon in July.

Museum of Alternate History - Dawson will be part of Tim Guthrie's team of artists for the Museum of Alternate History at Kaneko in Omaha, NE this summer.

OCI Artist Advisory Board - Dawson has joined the advisory board as a writer in the Omaha community.

Dawson's short story, "I Set my Ship to the Brightest Star," is available on audio - November 7

The NAC residency continues at Omaha Central High School.

"Marley and Marley" is available in The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction, November/December issue. 

Dawson will be an invited artist at ICFA in March of 2018. 

Plans are underway for Estes Park Writing Retreat in 2018, for its fifth year.

Dawson's script, "Prairie Women," will premiere as part of Woven: Woman in Omaha. She is a co-curator for Woman in Omaha. 

Dawson's short story, "The Legendary Legend of the Darkly's Slayer," is included in Issue 06 of Mothership Zeta, which is currently part of the Hurricane Relief Bookstore. Look here for more information: Hurricane Relief

​Dawson will start a Nebraska Arts Council residency at Omaha Central High School on October 2, teaching playwriting.

Dawson joined the Escape Artists family in May as an Associate Editor for Escape Pod. 

Dawson read as part of the Inside Voices Reading Series at Aromas in Omaha, NE. 

NonBinary Review has acquired her short story, "I Set my Sail to the Brightest Star."

Dawson has been chosen as a member of the 2017 Artist INC. Omaha cohort.

Dawson will co-curate the project, "Woman in Omaha," on October 6, 2017 with Beaufield Berry. It is a part of the Woven Omaha exhibition.

Dawson is attending the 2017 Writing the Other class, taught by Nisi Shawl and K Tempest Bradford.

For the month of November, Dawson will be working at Kimmel Harding Nelson Center of the Arts as a writer-in-residence. There will be an Open Studio where she will present on November 17 at 5:00 PM.
